I know it's REALLY late, but it's been on my mind for too long; got to let it out or I'll explode.

Book vs Movie

The summer I discovered "The Lightning Theif" was nothing short of magical. I devoured the books within a week or two and was absolutely in love.

Then I saw the trailor for the movie. I knew that movies are never really as good as the books, but something in me wanted to watch it on screen. I did, and was somewhat underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong, it was really cool to finally see Zeus, Poseidon and Hades literally rock the world with their quarrelling, but something was sort of off.

Maybe because it wasn't exactly as I pictured it.

I think I figured out why movies are never as good as the books they're based off of.

For anyone who has taken an interest in kpop for some time, you would know that cuteness is highly valued. Whether that's a good or bad thing is in the eyes of the beholder. But is it appealing for international fans as well?

EXO-M's Aesthetic Appeal (History MV)

After thinking long and hard (translation: 2 seconds), I've decided that I would review EXO-M first. I do prefer M over K, but I do think that K has better looking members. And also, K's one secret weapon, which I will also keep a secret, at least for a while.

Who's My Bias?

So you may or may not have caught what I have called Woohyun in the last post: my "personal-physical bias." Cue...silence.

Okay, let me explain. But please bear in mind that it's something I recently thought of, so it may not make much sense.

TVXQ have been my biases since I first got into j-pop (yes I got into it first), and soon after, k-pop. I have a very strong emotional attatchment to them, hence the word "personal" in personal bias. The thing is, I have almost no physical attraction to them (except for Yoochun? And lately Yunho). I do think they are good-looking, it's just more personal than physical for me.

Infinite's Aesthetic Appeal (General)

I find the Infinite members to be distracting when I watch their MVs; if I want to actually listen to the music, I have to look away.

Beast's Aesthetic Appeal (Mystery MV)

Beast is a sexy group. They make me go "OH. MY. GOD." And then this special Mystery MV came out...I drowned in my own pool of drool (my parents revived me just to clean it up). The video is so HD that I thought that if I reached out, I could touch them. And if you're looking at pictures, you're missing out, because you need to watch the video!

Seo In Guk Rant

I've recently fallen in love with Seo In Guk, who has an insecurity about the placement of his nipples. Thankfully, his voice (and face) is a great compensation for his misplaced nipples which we will forever judge him by (just kidding Gukkie!).

Whether it was fate, luck or just plain coincidence that I discovered him singing an awesome song, "Tease Me," I had to look him up. I heard some older songs and liked those too. So I ended up buying his whole Perfect Fit album on iTunes and with that, I got a digital booklet.

TVXQ's Aesthetic Appeal (General)

Note: TVXQ is five members. Yunho + Changmin = HoMin. Jaejoong + Yoochun + Junsu = JYJ

I can't remember the exact wording, but I know Jaejoong said something like "You fall in love with their idol voices first, THEN their idol faces."
SM even introduced them as a VOCAL group, which is an ingenious idea.
Wait, that's the way it should be isn't it?

Ugh whatever, I'm supposed to be writing about their looks anyway.

SHINee's Aesthetic Appeal (General)

Since yesterday was SHINee's 4th anniversary, I thought I would rate them today. I don't have a real bias in SHINee (and in TVXQ) because I really like them all <3
